Enjoyable especially as had good weather

Just had a great time, a new experience, new places and great weather to enjoy it. As first timers, avoided the bath locks and learnt early on to leave early to get a good mooring. On picking up the boat, we left the marina about 4:30 and had hoped to get a mooring before the Bradford lock, but didn’t find any free and suddenly the lock was ahead. A bit daunting but a friendly boater came to our rescue. Took next gap we saw and stayed 2 nights. Recommend The Lock Inn if you love Ribs, check opening times though. Spent next night just after bridge at Limpley Stoke. Recommend the Hop Pole Inn. Then 2 nights in Bath. And same 1 night stops on way back. Met some great people, was lovely just chatting and having a laugh. Highly recommend.

We have had an amazing holiday, what an experience that we will definately be doing again. The staff are great and go over everything you should know about the barge, locks, reading the canal maps etc and the barge was equipt with everything you could possibly need and to top it off the weather was amazing.

The scenery on the Mon-Brec is spectacular. The canal is quiet and really peaceful. It's just beautiful.

We were greeted by an outstaning team, from the receptionist, to the amazing guy (Mark) who patiently explained everything about the boat to us.

Trouble-free throughout, from first booking to hand-back. After 55 years of narrow-boating I can say that this was one of the very best laid-out and appointed boats.
