Throughout the year, canals up and down the UK are host to a variety of festivals and events from floating markets, international music and food. So, if you’re looking for a festival to attend on your trip through the waterways – we’ve narrowed it down to help make your choice easier.

Rickmansworth Canal Festival

The Rickmansworth Canal Festival takes place on the third weekend of May, every year. What originally started in 1993 as just a canal-based event, today it celebrates the community and its environment.

Occupying part of the Aquadrome, the area around Batchworth Lock as well as the towpath between Batchworth and Stockers Lock - you can find a wide array of canal boats, traders and crafts, music and performing arts, displays and presentations as well as food stalls. A great day out for boating enthusiasts.
